Presenting the first piece of the series “SHAPELY WOMEN!” Something I started a while back even before the series “FLOW.” I wanted to play around with shapes and ended up incorporating them with my characters. It’s scary working with shapes because they are so perfect! But it’s also very fun and creating this piece was truly like solving a puzzle.  Hope you look forward to the rest of the series and any different variations that may come!

I’d like to present my first full digital work! Meaning I did both the line art and colors all in Photoshop! note: I have colored in PS once before! ^^

So the major tools used for this piece were a wacom intuos 3 tablet (Courtesy of my boyfriend Nick! Thank you! ♥) and Photoshop CS4!  It really is a big shift going from the traditional pen and paper to a tablet and the computer screen but I’ve been doing it almost non stop ever since.  It does require way more time when working on a tablet (for me anyway) but the results are well worth it I think. Also since I have the handy “undo button” in Photoshop I feel like I have to work that much harder than when I use permanent ink on paper.  I feel like there is no excuse for mistakes! *serious face*  And with that this is my original character Momo and you’ll probably be seeing more of her in the near future!
